The more I travel the more I realize, feel, and appreciate that we are only whole because of the whole of our parts. Our collective experiences make us who we are. Whether it's land we've traversed, people we've met, or experiences we've had, these are our most precious parts. We hang on tight to the things we love, are moved by things that puncture us (good or bad), and we often forget to tend to our layers.
With this idea in mind, I started a project using double or multiple exposures to highlight this idea through the eyes of my own experience. Who am I? What or who is layered within? This is my way of validating and acknowledging the pieces of me that are so vital to the core of my character.
Below are a few of my favorite pieces along with descriptions.

THE LET GO
Embracing my inner wild. The parts of me that are free, that run amok in a jungle, that feel like an Amazonian warrior.
THE EMERALD COAST
I am always captivated by the lush landscape of Nicaragua. The Pacific side, deemed the Emerald Coast always feels so palpable and sensory. I am always reaching for more.
IN SEARCH OF
My mind is always working. My brain is constantly being bombarded with thoughts. This quite possibility is genetic as my father is a man who always leaves me asking, “What is going on in his head?”
THROUGH ME
Nature always fills me up and restores me. It penetrates me in a way that makes me feel illuminated. I always will surrender to it.
